Hawzah News Agency – The Division of Al-Kafeel Women’s Religious Schools of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, in cooperation with the Martyrs Foundation, organized a ceremony this morning for 62 girls from the orphans of the martyrs in the governorates of (Baghdad, Babil, Najaf, and Diwaniyah), today, Sunday, in the courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him) - the basement of Imam Musa al-Kadhem, peace be upon him -.
The Division official, Mrs. Bushra al-Kinani, stated to Al-Kafeel Network: "This celebration is part of a series of activities and events that the Division has been holding annually, which came based on the direction and blessing of the Senior Official of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine; Sayed Ahmad al-Safi".
She added, "The idea of holding this event is a popular way for the girl, as she learns about her religious duties as she reaches the age, and it has two sides: the first is to contribute to the care of the orphans of the martyrs and bring them joy, and the second is to inform the girls of this important age stage."
Al-Kinani indicated, "The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran that was preceded by the distribution of prayer clothes to the girls. This was followed by a simplified and representative dialogue scene close to the minds and ages of this category, and the scene showed some of the things that the girl must abide by starting from this age."
She explained, "There was also a religious guidance lecture given by Sayed Adnan Gelokhan al-Mousawi from the Religious Affairs Department at the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine, in which he explained many matters such as the rights of the orphan and the reward of those who take care of him, especially the orphans of the martyrs. He also made clear to the celebrated girls the emphasis on commitment to the religious matters for girls, and work to clarify the obligatory duties that they must do such as prayer and fasting, adherence to the hijab and other matters that are considered the basis and starting point for the rest of the rules. Sayed Adnan also answered the questions and inquiries of the attendees."
Al-Kinani continued, "After that, a competition was held by the Women's Qur'anic Unit, as well as a practical event to clarify the method of ablution and prayer, which was presented by the Women's Religious Guidance Division at the Holy Shrine. The ceremony included also chants by the Women Division of Hussayni Preaching Group at the Holy S. The celebration was concluded by honoring the girls with in-kind gifts from the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
The mothers of these girls thanked the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for this initiative, as that this celebration gives an incentive for the girl to adhere to the correct Islamic teachings.
